What is The Local Nose.com?
The Local Nose.com ONLY recommends wines that 3 of the expert Noses have selected for recommendation...not one, or two…but three. This gives consumers a reliable wine recommendation that is based on a broad range of palates, opinions, and tasting preferences.
To learn more details about the recommendation process, read How We Do It and check out one of the monthly Tasting Reports.
Want to compare your tasting notes and rate wines too?
The best way to learn about wine is to taste it and take notes! At TLN we want our wine community to use our Noses’ professional tasting notes as a guide to developing their own palates. We hope that TLN community members will buy and taste the same wine from the same merchant that the Noses tasted, then share their own tasting notes and give a “thumbs up or thumbs down” rating. It’s a great way to taste and compare wine styles with the pros! Join now…it’s free!
Looking for a specific wine?
The Local Nose.com also has a Wine Search engine so that consumers can locate and price wines that are available locally. As more and more Singapore wine merchants place their wines in our database consumers will be able to find wines they know, or that they have read about or seen on a restaurant menu.
Want to buy wines online? The Local Nose Wine Mall will make it easy for consumers to order wines directly from Singapore wine merchants, whether from an existing online merchant, direct from an importer, or from one of our retail partners. We want to make it easy to find and buy wines from all over Singapore.
Want to know what’s happening in the wine scene? Our Wine Knows page offers Singapore residents and visitors an event calendar, list of corkage fees at popular restaurants, and information on Wine Bars and Wine Clubs.
Want to learn more about wine?Check out the Nose to the Ground articles written by Suzanne Brocklehurst, our expert Nose-to-the-Ground, who takes a close look at specific wine regions around the world and offers accurate tasting notes on wines from those regions that are available locally.
Or, learn about a range of wine topics from Ed Soon, a.k.a. Broad Nose, in his column “Ed says…” that will appear on The Local Nose in mid-January, 2009.
