The Biffar familiy came 300 years ago from Lyon to Deidesheim. Furthermore the wine estate will be managed by the family. They produce excellent Riesling wines, but also some other interesting varieties like Sauvignon Blanc, Auxerroix and the red wine St. Laurent. At the FHA WSA Challenge 2010 the Biffar Riesling GG "Kalkofen" was awarded with "Gold" as the best Riesling!Beside of the excellent wines Biffar is also producing delicious candide fruits, like Ginger sticks, and is the market leader for these products in Germany.
